🧠 EXAM KNOWLEDGE TIPS
📌 TIP 1 — RBI Liquidity Tools:
VRRR is used to absorb surplus liquidity, while repo operations generally inject liquidity into the banking system.
📌 TIP 2 — OMO:
Under Open Market Operations, RBI buys or sells Government Securities to influence durable liquidity in the banking system.
📌 TIP 3 — UPI & MDR:
Remember the distinction between P2P and P2M transactions; questions may test who pays MDR and whether the charge can be passed on to customers.
📌 TIP 4 — CASA:
CASA = Current Account + Savings Account deposits; CASA ratio is generally expressed as CASA deposits divided by total deposits.
📌 TIP 5 — Percentage Increase:
Always use: Percentage Increase = (New Value − Original Value) ÷ Original Value × 100.
📌 TIP 6 — Ratio Questions:
First calculate the total number of ratio parts, then determine the value of one part before finding the required share.
📌 TIP 7 — Syllogism:
Do not reverse a conclusion. “All A are B” does not mean “All B are A.”
📌 TIP 8 — Reasoning Arrangements:
For linear seating questions, draw fixed positions first—especially extreme left/right and immediate-left/immediate-right clues.
📌 TIP 9 — Direction Test:
Cancel movements in opposite directions before determining the final position.
📌 TIP 10 — Prelims Strategy:
Do not spend excessive time on one difficult question. Secure the easy questions first and return to time-consuming questions if time permits.
